In 2018, the North Carolina Zoo enlisted Feather Friendly® for a project at the zoo’s Desert Pavilion. The glass-domed habitat posed a threat to species on the other side of the glass – local birds at risk of window collisions. With the addition of Feather Friendly® bird deterrent window markers, the Desert Pavilion (home to an array of plant and animal species), is now also safe for the local bird population. Feather Friendly® also installed its bird deterrent window markers at the Gorilla Exhibit to further the Zoo’s bird-safe initiative.
