A Vital Stop On The Pacific Flyway

Located along a major north-south migratory route, the rugged coast of British Columbia sees a tremendous volume of bird traffic throughout the year. The large reflective windows of modern coastal buildings, while perfect for human observation of the ocean, can present a deceptive hazard to these birds.

By proactively installing proven visual markers, BMSC eliminated this threat. The treated glass now clearly signals a solid surface to avian vision, ensuring that passing migrants and resident seabirds can navigate the shoreline safely.
