Chicago Architecture Center
An architectural landmark puts bird-safe design on display with Bird Divert Clear UV.
Project Overview
Where Bird-safe Design Meets Public Education
As the host of Flyway City: Architecture for a Flourishing Ecosystem, the Chicago Architecture Center is helping spark conversations about the future of bird-safe design. The building itself is part of that story.
Bird Divert Clear UV was installed on the Center's glass façade, helping make the building safer for migratory birds while preserving the clean aesthetic that has made it a recognizable destination along Chicago's riverfront.
Together, the installation and exhibition demonstrate how architecture, conservation, and design can work together to create cities that are better for birds and people alike.
The challenge at this site was to demonstrate how state-of-the-art bird safety systems can protect wildlife along key flyway riverfronts while keeping building glass crystal clear for educational exhibits.
