The Bird–Glass Collision Issue
Bird-glass collisions are a global issue, with incidents documented in more than 90 countries and affecting nearly 2,000 species worldwide.
In the US alone, up to 1 billion birds are estimated to die each year after striking buildings. Because birds perceive reflections of sky and habitat as open flight paths, untreated glass presents a risk in buildings everywhere.
As awareness grows, science-based solutions are increasingly expected in both retrofit and new construction projects.
